24 hour Duty Medical Officer

The Memorial Hospital offers the convenience of an on-site Duty Medical Officer (DMO) 24 hours a day, to assist with emrgencies, CCU and other inpatients as directed by the consultant. There are no extra charges for this service.

Critical Care Unit (CCU)

There is a 3 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and 5 bed High Dependency Unit (HDU) located at The Memorial Hospital for treatment of critical conditions. This is staffed by highly trained CCU staff, and manned by a dedicated team of Intensive care doctors. It is supported by a team of allied health professionals.

Medical Emergency Team (MET)

The Memorial Hospital has a Medical Emergency Team that attends all in-house medical emergencies. It is staffed by our highly trained DMO's, CCU staff and Hospital Coordinator.

Surgical Facilities

The surgical facilities at The Memorial Hospital are comprehensive and modern, with 6 Operating Theatres, a large Recovery area and Day Surgery suite situated within the hospital. Sleep Medicine

The Memorial Hospital is a centre for excellence in Sleep Medicine. We have a 6 bed sleep clinic, Sleep SA, located on site for full examination of sleep disorders.

Rehabilitation Services

The Memorial Hospital offers both individually designed inpatient and day patient rehabilitation programmes.
